I've been trying to find my Grandfathers family on my Dad's side. My father said his name was Edward Everett Parker. On the 1910 and 1920 Census he is listed as Edward Parker in St. Louis, MO. It says his mother and father were born in Missouri. On my Grandmother's death Certificate in 1939 it states she is a widow and her husband's name was Everett Parker. I can't find anything else about him or his parents or siblings. I've been looking for 15+ years and have found absolutely nothing more than this information. I really want to trace my Parker side of the family back. My Grandmother's maiden name was Jennie (Sarah Jane) Horrell and I have been able to trace her back through both sides of her family, I just can't find anything on my Grandfather's side.

  • Thanks Gail. I don't think your Edward Parker is the same person as mine. Mine would be older as he was married to my Grandmother in the 1910 census. That would make your Eddie Parker only 12 at the time. But I sure wish he were the right one. I've looked so long and so hard. Hope you find yours soon. Mary Johnson
  • Mary Ann,
I have a Edward (Eddie) Parker born in 1898 in my family. The only thing I have on him is on a piece of paper my aunt Daisy Parker was writing on. She was listing my grandfather's brothers & sisters birth dates, who they married, and where they lived. Beside Eddie's name she wrote gone. I don't know what she meant by that. My Family came from Anson County, N.C. Not sure if there would be any connection but you never know.

  • Hello, Mary Ann Parker Johnson and Welcome to Parker Heritage.

Can you advise if your Edward Everett Parker married the Jennie Sarah Jane Horrell who had previously been married to a William England? Jennie brought William England's children to her marriage with Edward Everett Parker, including William, Louisa, John, Emma, and Rosa who later married a Harry Froman?. Edward Everett Parker and Jennie had son Sulvanus(sic) born about 1900 and perhaps other children. If this is the same Edward Everett Parker you seek, please see the following:

Everett's father was Irvin Parker b. 1835 Kentucky who died before 1910. Everett's mother was Isabell unk who was born 1842 Missouri who in later life went by Belle. They lived in Cass Co. Missouri and had many children, including Earl, Henry, Maud, Genevia, your Everett who later married Jennie Horrell England(?) in 1895, Berry, Beulah, Irvin, Mabell, and perhaps others. By 1920, Belle Parker was widowed and living with son Earl and his family in Cass Co., Missouri.

If you think these are the right people, let us know here at Parker Heritage and iti may be possible to find earlier information. The Irvin Parker family appeared to be living in Missouri before 1870.
