Yes, with Mary Angeline Parker as your known ancestor, you are assured with our family line patriarch Benjamin Parker Sr. was your oldest known Parker ancestor in this particular line. His son Benjamin Parker Jr. was the father of Wade Hampton Parker who was the father of Mary Angeline b. 1877. Every generation has at least one Benjamin, usually two, and it can get very confusing.

I am a Ross by birth and, long ago, I married Jack Parker who is P11 of Parker YDNA Project Family Group # 7. Jack is a lineal male descend of Benjamin Sr.'s youngest son, Isaiah Parker. Isaiah was a younger brother of Benjamin Jr. of your branch.

I hope I am doing this correctly! My great grandmother was Mary Angeline (Mollie) Parker. I have her as the daughter of Wade Hampton Parker Sr and Margaret Susan Kelly Goff. Her death certificate has a Benjamin Parker listed as her father but I do not believe that is accurate. My great aunt filled out her DC and had also done much research on the Parker name but got stumped. Now I'm wondering if some of the reason was the wrong Parker? I have made a tree on Ancestry but I would like to feel a little more confident in it. Can you direct me on where to find more info? I also have my GEDmatch number if that would help. Thank you SO much!!

Thank you both for the information! I have quite a bit of documentation for the Parker line through the younger Benjamin. I actually new my great-grandparents (Bessie and Joseph) very well and still am close to the children that are left as well as their children. I did not however have any of the dna information. I am only starting to delve into that area of genealogy. I am hoping to explore that more. I came across this site while looking for more information on the Parkers. Family legend has it that we are related to Quanah and Cynthia Ann Parker and I can not find any proof at all that there is a connection. I'm sure there could be something distant but in all of my searching I have found nothing. If there is anything I can assist with please let me know.

I have found that the Everett Parker in Cass County is not my Grandfather. I found him in the 1900 and 1910 Federal Census married to a Ella Parker still living in Pleasant Hill. By that time he was married to my Grandmother Jennie Parker.
I'm back to the drawing board. I'll keep lookiing and sooner or later I'll find him. I guess I'm take a trip to St. Louis, and visit the Bureau of Vital Statistics. Maybe I'll find him there. Thanks again for your help.
Patricia, Thank you so much for all your information. I was beginning to think I would never be able to find anyone related to my Grandfather and thus related to me on the Parker side of the family. Funny part is, I live near Kansas City, and Pleasant Hill is only a short way from here. We are going to go to the Cemetary on Friday and see what we find. I tried to write clearly in my earlier post to you, being careful to sort out the "he" the "him" and the "them"s to make sense, but now I am not sure I succeeded. :) Please know that I -- like you --know about family secrets and am aware that relationships do not have to be solemnized before a preacher to have long-term effectiveness.
I found evidence that Jennie had only two husbands or men in her life -- one was William Engelen/England and the other was the Everett Parker of our exchanges. From my research standpoint, if I understand correctly that your dad Howard was a child of Everett Parker , we can continue on from there.
If you conclude that Irvin b. 1835 Missouri and Isabella Rowland Parker b. 1841 Missouri were parents of Everett Parker b. 1872, you may like to know the following:
Irvin Parker born 1835 Kentucky appears to be a son of William Henry Parker who was born 1795 in Harford Co., Maryland.
William Henry Parker came from Maryland into Kentucky where in 1815 he met and married Harriett Frances Collins, later aka as Fannie. Fannie Collins was born 1800 Kentucky. The family of William Henry Parker and wife Fannie Parker later lived in Big Creek, Cass County, Missouri on the 1860 and 1870 Missouri censuses. William Henry Parker died in Missouri 1877 and his wife Fannie died there in 1878.
Most of this data above came verbatim from US censuses which tend to be impersonal and as reliable as the information provided to the census taker. Some of the info also came from FindAGraves which, since those are written by descendants doing the best they can, are usually highly subjective and largely interpreted. I mention this because the FindAGrave list of of William Henry Parker and his wife Fannie Collins' children appears to include several generations, even some spouses. Their children:
Elizabeth, Aquilla, America, Lucinda, Columbus, Greenberry, William Henry, Sarah Jane, Levi, Irvin, James Everett, Hettie, and Christina.
In addition to my Parker Heritage role and interest in your Parker ancestors, I have a wide-ranging personal interest into the Rowland ancestors of your Isabella Rowland, wife of Irvin Parker. I have Rowland ancestors of the same period who came from the east coast through Ohio, to Kentucky, and later into Indiana, so I am researching a possible connection. My Rowland side trip really has no tie to your Parkers, just curiosity.

Thank you Patricia for your help. Yes, that is the same Edward Everett Parker and Jennie Parker, however, her first marriage was to William Engelen. The Census taker wrote it as England, but it was Engelen and after he died, she never remarried. My dad lived with her until she died in 1939 when he was 18. So I'm sure of that fact. And I have a copy of her death certificate that lists her as Widowed with Everett as her dead husband and my dad used to tell stories about how hard she worked scrubbing floors in the downtown building to make a living for them. But I also know about family secrets. So I guess it's possible she remarried a third time and my dad never said anything about it?
Edward and Jennie had 3 children together, My dad, Howard Christ Parker who died in 1994. Sylvester E. Parker who died in 1978 and had no children and Margaret who is now deceased but married a man named Robert Klepper and had three sons, James, Gerald, and Robert.
I was assuming that his dad was born in Perry County where my Grandmother was born, but it is entirely possible that they met in St. Louis, rather than in Perry County. So Irvin may indeed be his father and Elizabeth his mother.
