The 1870 Census finds Daniel Parker 1822 in Resaca, Gordon Co., Georgia. He works in a shoe shop. Wife, Mary and daughter, Josephine, age 16 live with him. I have found no trace of Daniel, Mary or Josephine after this census. A hopeful clue reads"A Josephine Parker, daug of Dan and Mary Parker, of Jackson Co., AL, married Tom Keef and lived her life near Shiloh Church, DeKalb Co., Alabama. The 1920 Census, Lebanon, DeKalb Co., AL, shows this Josephine to be 67 and born in AL. In the 1930 Census, her son Arthur G. Keef said his mother was born in GA. No definitive proof to match her to my line. Cicero ,the youngest son of Daniel Parker 1822, appears to have moved to Alabama shortly after the 1870 Census. His second son Joe Franklin Parker was born about 1871 in Cherokee County, Alabama according to family history. Cicero settled in Lebanon, DeKalb Co., Alabama for a time. His sons homesteaded land on nearby Sand Mountain and he moved to that area near the current intersection on Alabama highways 35 and 75 in the town now called Rainsville. Two early names of Rainsville include Parkertown and Blue Pond( as it is called in the census records beginning in 1900). Cicero and his wife Mary Dickert had a large family: 1-Georgia Parker-dates unclear. Death was in DeKalb Co., AL. 2-Rosa Bell Parker- I have found a birthdate of 1868 in GA but doubt it is accurate. 3-Daniel H. Parker- b.5/30/1869, prob Cherokee Co., AL d.10/27/1889, DeKalb Co., AL, He married Mary E. Fortner 3/10/1889. 4-Joseph Franklin Parker-b.1870-1871, prob Cherokee Co., AL,d. 6/16/1942, Rainsville, DeKalb Co.,AL 5-John T. Parker-b10/19/1872 DeKalb Co., AL,Called Tol(likely named after Cicero's brother) 6-Ellen J. Parker- b.1874-1880 DeKalb Co., AL 7-Savannah Parker-b.1875 DeKalb Co., AL 8-Mattie Parker-b.1876 DeKalb Co., AL 9-David M. Parker-b.5/10/1878 DeKalb Co., ALd.unknown. This is my great-grandfather. The date of birth is from his WWI draft registration. 10-Huston Green Parker-b.12/2/1877 DeKalb Co., AL,c.1928, DeKalb Co., AL 11-Lucy Parker-b.6/1885 DeKalb Co.,AL, d.2/14/1916 Rainsville, DeKalb Co., AL 12-Mary J. Parker-b.10/1887 DeKalb Co., AL, d.before 1900 DeKalb Co., AL 13-Bessie Parker-b.12/1890 DeKalb Co.,AL 14-Harry Parker,b.6/1892 DeKalb Co., AL, d. 1949 DeKalb Co., AL

INTRODUCTION

My name is Warren Parker and am in Family Group #1 according to yDNA testing.  I have been researching the Parker family from Amite County, Ms, for several years, but discontinued the work about four years ago.  I am descended from John Rhodes (Jack) Parker who was born in North Carolina in 1808.  I am interested in finding the link between Jack Parker and the rest of FG #1 if anyone can help.
