Hello, again, Marsha Morrow - While I do not know what plans you have for your uncle or a testing service, I would like to put in this public service announcement for the Parker YDNA Surname Project and the Family Tree DNA testing service. Together, they provide the most effective, comprehensive, and seamless YDNA testing and research experience you can get.
You may use the following link to reach Dr. Dennis West and the Project ---

and he will take you from there.
Good luck in your research.

Hello, Marsha - The test is the very best way to find your line. All other ways come in a distant second and still leave you with unanswered questions.

Hello, Marsha Morrow - There appear to be several James Buchanan's in the same areas of Mississippi who could fit your description. Please list the children you believe to be his, and we shall look some more. The fellows I have seen so far were enumerated as born in the States and with parents who were also, so that would make him of Irish origins only, not born there. Does that still fit your knowledge of James Buchanan P?
Family Group #7 has many Parkers of his type in the Rankin, Jackson, etc. areas of Mississippi - and other parts of the state as well. Let us know.
