My name is jedd Lawson I am the son of Atrice M. Parker Lawson. My mothers' father was Early Carlos Parker B 15 may 1902,married to Ethel lee Hemphill. My grandfather Carlos' Parkers' father was George Washington Parker B 29 jan 1876 he had a brother Daniel Lewis Parker , their father was Peter Francis Marion Parker B 26 Apl 1850. In April 9th 1868 he married Ursley Ann Geoghagan,B 25 Aug 1851. This will bring me to where I want to tell what I know concerning the photo on this Parker Heritage site. When I was A teenager I went to spend some time with my great aunt whom I loved dearly. We spent a lot of time talking about family and looking at old pictures. One photo really caught my attention because it was metal,called a tin-type, it was very old ,it was beginning to peel.The picture was of a young lady and young man. I ask my aunt (Mary Cordelia Parker-Laird) who is this? She replied that it was Granny and grandpa. It was, she said taken not long after they had married. The photo was her grandmother Ursley Ann Geoghagan-Parker and her husband Peter Francis Marion Parker. Her granny had personally told her, and she had other things,the shawl she wore in the photo she is included in several other photos I have of the Parker family (George Washington Parker family) She is much older in those photos,she lived with them until her death. I have a cousin in Walton county that could verify that the photo is Peter Francis Marion Parker and Ursley Geoghagan-Parker. My great uncle verified that Ursley had "native American " blood. The photo though isn't Peter Parker and Frances. sincerely,Jedd Lawson .
