Looking for info on Sarah/"Sally" Parker

I am looking for info on Sarah/ "Sally" Parker who was married to John J. Herlihy in 1879 in Jackson County, MS.  She was born in 1861 in Alabama or Mississippi and died in St. Petersburg, FL in 1931.  On her death certificate it says JB Parker and Ann Beach as her parents both born in Alabama.

Any help would be appreciated.  This is my GG Grandmother on my grandmother's side who is 99 and we are trying to find answers for her.  Thanks!

  • I am thinking that also. It all seems to fit. I am going to the national archive soon to look at the microfilm since the ancestry.com copy of that page is illegible.
  • 1850 Washington County, Alabama, Census. 1860 Washington County, Alabama Census. 1870 Wayne County, Mississippi Census. Littleberry, or Little B PARKER, cannot help but think this may be your man. Married Sarah Ann BEECH, and had a daughter Sarah PARKER born in 1861. Not sure what to think of Henry PARKER.
  • Thank you Steven. I may have gotten a break through just after receiving your comment. I went back to the first census when Sarah was married (the 1880, one of the most illegible census)and there are parkers right above Sarah and John on the census Sarah A. and Henry Parker. Off to do some research... Sadly I don't know the names of her siblings as my grandmother did not grow up knowing her grandmother very well.
  • Have some information from the 1930 florida Census. Sarah Herlihy living with her daughter Alice and her husband Eugene Watson in Saint Petersburg Florida. Address 1901 Fourth Avenue North. Home value $5000. He is a lumber Salesman. Also looked at some other records, There is a LB PARKER not JB who married Ann BEACH. So it is now very important that you know the names of the siblings of Sarah PARKER. Also the 1930 Census has Sarah parents both born in Mississippi.
