ive been working on my family tree for a while now, off and on. I'm working on my moms side for now which i believe is the FG#5 Parker group. it seems like there is a LOT of confusion once i/we get to Elder John Parker and his father Nathaniel Parker? Nathaniel born in 1724 or 1730?
this is how my lineage goes:
my grandmother was born Maydell Parker in 1907 --> great grandfather Isaac Duke Parker 1880 - ? --> Daniel G Parker 1856-1941 --> William Eldridge Parker 1825-1858 --> Isaac Duke Parker 1793-1883 --> Elder John Parker 1758-1836 and this is where it gets crazy confusing. apparently there was a new DNA test result released in 2016 that says Nathaniel Parker born in 1730 is NOT related to Elder John Parker, so where doe it go from here now?
PLEASE HELP!

Again, thank you for your info.
It may be helpful to you to apply the following to your research:
Despite endless claims about their relationship, Elder John Parker of YDNA Family Group #5 is not known as a son of Nathaniel Parker of Family Group #18. Elder Johb Parker's parents have never been confirmed. Nathaniel Parker DID have a son John, but that son John never went to Texas. Nathaniel Parker's family FG#18 was not related at all to the family of Elder John Parker FG#5.
Females do not inherit YDNA. YDNA testing does not inform at all on females.
If you are interested in locating an eligible living Parker male for YDNA genetic testing, the most authentic and dependable is Family Tree YDNA. . Google their Parker Project website there for info. Contact Dr. Dennis West there as administrator. Your personal test will find only Crowe results, They will be interesting but apply little or none to your Parker research.
