I think we need to get on the phone and talk to each other about all this - my fingers are getting sore from typing! LOL!!! If you don't mind, email me your phone # and I'll call you about all this (when my hubby gets of the phone - LOL!). I have so much to tell you and I think it will definitely be of interest to you! I told my mom about this and she is excited about it, also!
Wow...I love this! This is the kind of thing I thrive on...and it was bequeathed to me by my mom. She is the REAL reason I chose to do the book. I do hope she is ok, and will continue to do well. SHe is one amzing lady. Has she been interveiwed by anyone yet? I think it's so neat when the higher ups recognize what a milestone 100 years is! Kudos to "Aunt Sis, your mom, and you..for keeping up with your Parker kin!...Love, from me, Kathy Jo
You could probably talk to her, but she is really starting to get things very confused these days - health wise (physically) she is doing rather well - mom said she had a fall in her back yard a couple of weeks ago, but is doing fine - nothing broken, thank goodness! I got all my info from her - she had written some things down and sent it to my mom, who gave it to me. I keep my mom informed on what I've found.
Tina, this is a fabulous photo of "Aunt Sis"!! I love it. I have wondered if she was still living, and this is such a wonderful surprise. 100! Just think of it! Is there ANY way I can talk to her?
Wow! ...Kathy Jo
Aunt Sis turned 100 years old in August, 2007 - she is alive and doing fairly well, and she still lives in her own home in Kerens, Navarro Co., TX. Her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Carol Clinkscales, live near Canton, TX. Tom is an avid Civil War re-enactor. She is the younger half-sister of my grandfather, O. Ray Brown.
