Raymond, already found a dna connection to John Parker (North Carolina) that proves he was James father.
I'm sorry it took me so long to respond! I must've missed your comment earlier. I'm originally from east Tennessee, in Bradley County. My earliest known Parker ancestor is Barnett Parker, who was born in South Carolina in 1810 and lived in Georgia and Tennessee.
Hi Raymond,
My great grandfather was William Monroe Parker (1871-1947), son of Elias W. Parker. I am hoping to find one of Elias' descendants on GedMatch for comparison.
I will also let you know if I can gather any more information! Thank you and have a great weekend!
Hello Raymond! My husband's Parker side come from Arkansas, Knox County Tennessee, and a few minor references to North Carolina and Virginia. I am stuck on my husband's 2nd great-grandfather, Joseph A. Parker B- 5 Jul 1849 TN, D- 7 Feb 1908 AR. We found the family on the 1900 Census and he is a reverend, his marriage was to Maggie A. Moore in Lawrence County, AR on October 22, 1872. That is all I can find, I have seen that other people have Joseph Parker of North Carolina married to a Amelia McNutt of TN as his parents but I am not finding documentation backing that up. Heard of any of them? Thanks for adding me!! :) Stephanie
well, I'm sure we're cousins somewhere but hadn't quiet grasped what I'm doing just yet !
I think I have gone as far as George W.Parker , b. 1815 inTN. parents were Benjamine Parker and Susanne Robertson Parker. I can not find anything about George Pres... Parker b. 1846 but he must have just hatched out or something cause there is nothing I can find about a mother . I think he is my 2 ond great Granfather. supposedly , father of Albert Parker who had the misfortune to marry one of the worse women on the face of this Earth and proceeded to give birth in addition to 2 she already had , about 10 more. My granddad was the best one of the bunch , the others being evil tempered mean people. Anyway, I could go on and on but I'll stop . Hope some of these names ring some bells and you might could help me . Thanks , Linda Parker Nichols
have any of you proven Native American?
