I started this group in the hopes that I can find people I am related to and find out more about my GGGG Grandfather Nathan/Nathaniel Parker who was born in Vermont. I do not know who his parents were or who his siblings were, but I have information about his children and so on.

Other states he and his children lived in are: New York, Michigan, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota. You never know, someone might be missing in your Parker tree!I have found through Genealogy and DNA Genealogy on my Dad's side ( not my Parker side) that this can happen! Please read on and post your information, maybe something matches!

I have been researching my Vermont GGGG Grandfather, Nathan/Nathaniel Parker for a few years now,  but have no idea who his Father, Mother or siblings were. I hope and pray that this information isn't lost in time.

Would LOVE to break down my brick wall (titanium wall I call it).

My GGGG Grandfather was Nathan (or Nathaniel) Parker. He was born in Vermont around 1790 and it is said he served in the War of 1812.

See my post here for more info on his Wife, children and their children and so on.

Please, add your Vermont, New York, Michigan, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota Parker's information. You never know, someone might be missing from your tree. :  ) Please share as much as you know.

I have gotten some spam, but as soon as I get your request to join, I will approve you!

  • Nathan is a fairly common name in FG#10. A number of those Parkers moved to Vermont from Ct and Mass after the revolution. Do you have a male Parker who can take a YDNA test?
    • I find several Nathan Parkers born in Vermont ca 1790.
Ancestry has a 1790 Nathan which they trace back to Deacon Thomas Parker (of Reading Ma) always a suspicious source. He died in Buffalo NY in 1868, supposedly married Elizabeth Gould Willard, supposed daughter Ann Stevens Parker married Harry Nichols Sargeant.

A second Nathan, born 1790, son of Isaac and Esther. Died in E. Montpelier (Calais), 5 July 1862

A third Nathan b 1789 son of Jacob and Bridget, died Lowell Vt, 29 May 1858
