Jim Powell,
I Rec'd your e-mail yesterday evening. It helped fill in some
of the gaps I had in Wiley Moore's off-spring. I now have the
complete line with birth-dates and places. Wiley Moore and
Mable Atkins were married Nov. 23,1892 They had Eva- 1894,
Lucy Morris-1896, Wiley-1898, Susie-1899,Gordon Powell-
1901, and Wade Atkins-1903. My records show Ben B. three
years older than Mable. Roots-web shows Wiley Moore and
Mable married Oct. 6,1896 in Bee County. F.Y.I. my daughter,
Annette Parker Flanigan submitted my YDNA and the first 25
markers confirmed that I'm in Family group 7, P296.
Now I still have to find out where my Grand-Dad was
buried. I'm going back to DeWitt, Karnes and Bee County
records to see if anything crops up.

Jim,
If I read your e-mail correctly, your Grandfather was Gordon Powell Parker
a son of Wiley Moore Parker. My notes taken from the 1900 census #124162
Bee Co. Beeville Vol. 10. ED 9 sheet 5 L 53 lists Wiley Moore and Mabel with
4 children: Eva, Lucy, Wiley and Susie, so I am assuming your Grandfather
Gordon Powell was born after 1900. Also, my records show Mabel's maiden
name was 'Atkins'. I'm trying to determine if Mabel and Ben B. Atkins who
married Isola Parker were brother and sister. Isola was 8 years younger
than Wiley Moore.
A little background: I've been trying off and on about 28 years or so
to track down my ancestors. Most of the infoihave is from census record
and Texas history books. I have had access to probably the second
largest Geneology library in the country located in Mesa, AZ.maintained by
rhe Mormon Church. It is open to anyone and is staffed by volunteers.
They have a large selection of books and census and other records on
microfilm and microfiche al pretty well indexed. Anyway, back to your
questions.
I am 84, the second of 5 sons of Bonner who married quite late in
life (49). The only members of Dad's family I met and remember are
my Aunt Mattie (Dad's twin) and her youngest son Douglas James
Hermes of Beeville, TX.I never met my Grandfather nor do I have any
pictures of him.
Names seem to have been important to Dad because my older
brother is named Barney, a name which Dad went by in later years,
then me, Patrick Henry, Matthew R. and Andrew Jackson.
I saw your comment on your page in Parker Heritage and see
that you too have been able to determine who Jesse's parents were.
The two that keep showing up in my search are: Joshua Parker and
Saphronia Muskrat and Robert Parker amd Pricilla Redick. I guess
it's time to revisit North Carolina and Georgia records
