Jeff,
The only conflict I've found on your info onmy Grandfather's birthdate
as 1834 is from what I've gotten from the Southeast Texas Regional
Ged-Com ID # 108145 whichlists his birthdate as Dec. 29,1830 and
death Dec. 28, 1907. I have no info on where he was buried but will
checkout your tip on the Confederate Cemetary if I can find records.
I have been unable to determine whether Jesse's parents were Robert
Parker and Pricilla Reddick or Joshua Parker and Saphronia Muskrat.
I'll keep looking.

According to the 1870 cesus records for Precint *1 Gatesville, Coryell Co.
Texas P-3 *281, my Grandfather, Wiley Jefferson Parker (enumerated as Jeff)
who was married to Frances Catherine Moore had 2 children, Jane and Wiley
ages 2 and 3 months respectively.
In search of abstracts of land titlles in Coryell Co. Texas, W.J. Parker was
listed as grantee and patentee of110 and 6/10 acres dated 16 Feb. 1876.
Then the1880 census for DeWitt County show the family on Manahvilla
creek and shows Jeff and Frances with 7 children, along with what my Dad
told me about his birthplace, I would say that he and Mattie were born in Gatesville. I don't know where she and James P. were married however.
Thanks for the fill-in on where Aunt Mattie is buried.
Wiley J.
Jeff,
I was glad to see your comment on my Aunt Mattie who came west to New
Mexico to visit my Dad, Bonner in the mid 1930's. My cousin Douglas, the youngest of the family also came out to visit a couple of times in the late
'30's or early '40's. According to my census records research,Aunt Mattie's
children were: Oswald. Hazel,Carmen,Daphne and Douglas.
In some of my searches.I also tried to find out how my uncle (by marriage)
J.P, wound up in Texas. Since a lot of the early immigrants came from
Germany. I was wondering if he was off of one of the ships that brought
German immigrants to the country. Searching ship passenger lists is time consuming so I suspended that for a while.
I hope you can add some more data on the family tree.
Thanks. Wiley J.Parker
My grandfather was Mattie's twin brother, Bonner. I never met him, but my father has told me stories about Mattie. I've been in touch with Sharon (McGaugh) Bonn who was kind enough to share stories of Mattie as well.
