Wm G Parker -Sincinnatus M Parker
I have been researching 1830-1840 Hinds-Rankin County, Mississippi -
Yesterday I found a document on Ancestry-Mississippi Wills and Probate that I had not seen before or had missed entirely.
I searched Ms Wills and probate- just for Parker- Hinds county, Mississippi and three documents for S M came up I had seen two prior but there is one where Wm G Parker along with two others posted bond for Wm G as Administrator of Sincinnatus M Parker estate/probate dated 2 Aug 1862. The two other men on the document Isaac N Baker has very high valued estate as does Jno D Fondren in the 1860 census. The question that puzzles me is if you didn't have a very big estate, why would you need a six thousand dollar bond set....and Wm G Parker had already gone to Texas by 1850-why should he be named in court in Hinds county Mississippi..... Another petition filed by Wm H Allen in 1867-He is listed as a merchant in 1860 Hinds county census. I believe says S M died seven years prior has no mean to pay debt, looks like turns over to Sheriff for settlement. Another bond for son in law James L Rutherford Adm dated 1870. I am not sure what they are still trying to settle.
Does this only add to the delima of are they related or not-if so how?
Wayne, will you post and or forward onto Dorothy Purcell
By the way, my only conclusion of my research was there was a definite migration from the Stewart, Rutherford, Robertson, Sumner, Davidson area of Tennessee to Hinds and Rankin county by 1830.
Wm G Parker's neighbor-1830 Hinds county-
Robert Rutherford b 1765 Kentucky son Robert b 1811 in Todd County, Kentucky- Wm G had son born there in 1827- maybe just a coincidence.
