I am the granddaughter of Ernest Ray Herring (1936-1995) who's father was Ezra Clay Herring (1904-1983) son of Nancy Caroline Parker (3/7/1871-8/31/1950) and John Tarrence Herring (10/18/1860-10/14/1947) resting in Wilson, OK. I want to know more about my heritage but hit a dead end with Nancy's husband John Tarrence Herring and was hoping someone here may be able to help me move forward. It's also rumored amongst the family that we are related to Chief Quanah Parker who's mother was Cynthia Ann Parker and I want to find out if there is any truth to this.
