Searching for my roots. Looking for my great grandfather, who I believe is William Parker who died around 1894 in Philadelphia, PA. He had a son Joseph Parker, born 1886 in Philly. William married Julia Tuttle. Joseph Parker and Tuttle are buried together in NY. I have been trying to verfy who was Joseph Parker's father

Hello, Mike Parker,
Welcome to Parker Heritage. I have looked into your Philadalphia Parkers and wonder 1) if you have a US subscription to Ancestry? 2) have you looked at the family tree for your William H. Parker, and 3) do you think the Joseph and Harriet Parker of Philadelphia (see 1870 census) could be the parents of William you seek? They had a houseful of sons and perhaps two older daughters who had already fledged.
If you think these may be your ancestors, please advise here on Parker Heritage. I will be glad see what else is available. If the immigrants Joseph and Harriet ARE your people, their track line goes back to Ireland and England some years before and may be fairly short in my database. :)

yDNA testing really helped me focus my research. Find Parker Family #7 group on Groups tab. I have a link there to the Parker Family ydNA Project. The oldest suspected Parker in my line happens to be a William for now, not proven yet. Check the link to Wayne Parker's Family #7 page on our line. He is a great researcher. Please consider the DNA project. Mike
