Gail, I saw on-line where you and Kathy Jo Bryant have been talking about Nicholas Parker from Anson County, N.C. If Nicholas has a son named Thomas that was married to Michal and they had a son named Wiley then he may be the next link I am looking for. I am Gail Parker Benson from Richmond County, N.C. across the Pee Dee River from Anson County. I'm working on my Daddy's lineage.
I would love to talk with you on the phone, Gail. Info this lengthy needs to be discussed in more detail. David Parker was my 3rd great grandfather.
He died in Anson Co., NC in 1814. His wife, and a number of their sons, went on to Georgia and AL. I do not bet, but I would say there is a great chance your Parkers are in the same family of Parkers as ours...Parker Family Group # 1. Peter Parker of Hertford, and his descendnats of Union and Stanley Co. NC are in our same Parker group, as proven by Y-DNA tests, initiated by myself. William Vann Parker and his wife, Carolyn did a lot of research on our Parker line. I was wondering why. So I was able to find a living male in their line to test. It was very gratifying to know we are in the same family of Parkers. You will probably find out you are too! Please contact me by email.
Thanks, Gail!
I wish I knew your more complete descendancy from Nicholas.
If I did, I might be able to determine our possible kinship. Can you send me more about Nicholas?
Hi Gail!
It's nice to meet you. I can hardly wait for your brother to take to Y-DNA test. Please keep me informed as to the results. We could be cousins!
Thanks for the good words. Take care, Kathy Jo
