My husband and I are trying to find out information about the possible relationship between his paternal grandmother, Cynthia Anne Parker and Quanah Parker. Photos of her indicate that she is of Native American descent and, according to research, she spent her last days at an Oklahoma reservation.
I guess the bottom line is this. Most people want to know where they came from. My husband is no exception. If you and your community can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the site! I'm always excited to hear from new cousins, especially the native side. Despite the numerous critics, my Westfield, Illinois Parker family held on to the tradition of a relationship between Elder John and my 4ggf James. Both lived within spitting distance of each other in Coles/Clark County Illinois. Recent yDNA confirms a close relationship. If what I've read from your post is correct, Cynthia Anne being native is VERY possible. Before I comment further, I'll do more research with what you've given us. (I just read it)-JamesDavidParker
