Benjamin Parker married Nancy Anderson.  Had a child born in Kentucky.  Jesse Parker married Sarah, maybe maiden name of Wylie.  Euridice Parker married Abraham Anderson.  Robert Parker also in Livingston County, Kentucky.  Isaac Parker also in Livingston County, Kentucky.  Benjamin Parker in Livingston County, Kentucky.  Jesse Parker in Livingston County, Kentucky.  Let's solve this once and for all.

  • I believe it is the Nolin William Parker because Nolin is around that Isaac Parker and I think other Parkers, including Benjamin and Jesse Parker. Also, Jones is the name in which Isaac Parker Land was entered in Livingston County, kentucky, as per Tax Record. Looking at that information are we even sure we have 2 William Parker, the information is so similar, do we 2 Censuses in the same year, or other information for sure letting us know that these are indeed 2 different William Parker. If not this scary and very very confusing. I have more information, not much, but do want to put this together better for everyone. Thanks for all the great research from Parker researchers. Also one other clue is that Jesse Parker in his Georgia Passport, their is mention of South Carolina, and thru other research, South Carolina does seem to enter the picture.
    • I have seen before that Isaac Parker who married Nancy Jones in South Carolina, moved to Livingston KY. Isaac Parker was born around 1765 and was in the 1800 Greenville Co SC census next to an older Robert Parker. They lived on the border of Greenville and Laurens Counties in SC. This is right where my Graydon's (Y DNA tested to Parker Group 7) lived at that time. I have autosomal DNA matches to Isaac Parker.
      • Please look at the update if you have not already. I believe looking at the common neighbors year by year on the tax record shows without a doubt that the Parker in South Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky are one and the same. Autosomal DNA match to Isaac Parker confirms it even more. Isaac, Robert, Benjamin, William and Jesse Parker all Skinframe, Livingston County, Kentucky.
      • Elizabeth,
I have both Isaac and Robert Parker in my file 1790 Greenville Co., SC census but I can not find them on the 1800 census. Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Also I tried to look at both David and Charles Graydon Family Finder files on FTDNA but both say that I need permission to look at their matches.

        • Sorry, it was the 1790 census and NOT the 1800 census Isaac and Robert were in. I should check things instead of going by memory!

You do not show up as a match on Family Finder to my brother, David Graydon, or cousin, Charlie Graydon. That is probably why you can't view their information. But how are you finding them if they don't match you? The only people I can view are my matches. Are they showing as an FF Match to you?

          • Elizabeth,
Remember I am Co-Administer of the Parker DNA Project.
Also I have been helping my nephew with his FF test as I am in the process of having my FF test done. So I will see who all I match.

            • Wayne,
So you don't have your FF results yet? Does your nephew have his results?

I'm just confused about where you're seeing the message that you need permission to see the files. Are you looking at your Y DNA matches and trying to view the FF matches from there? All the settings on David Graydon's FF matches are set so everyone can view them.

              • Elizabeth,
Yes my nephew James Parker has his FF results back.
The information on how to change your setting are below.

I need you to set you profile so we can see your results.

                • Wayne,
I might be confused about which site you are talking about. I thought you meant on the FTDNA site where you view your DNA results. Maybe you are meaning the Parker Heritage site? But I previously checked both sites and everyone should be able to view our results . I'll look again and maybe send you some screen shots in an email. I want to figure out what the problem is.
                  Elizabeth
                  • Elizabeth,
Thanks, I can now see your FF results on FTDNA.
