William (Bil) Loving is my great grandfathers brother his name was James Archie Loving and he married a Mary Smith he is the son of John C. Loving and Esther Jane Weeks. They were the parents of the following children:Mary A.E Loving bor June 1850 in Tx, William L. (Bill Loving vorn 1852 Tx., James Archie Lving born aug 5 1855 in Tx, Nancy J. Loving born 1859 in Tx, Emaline Loving born 1862 in Tx., and Kate Loving born 1865 in Tx. John and Esther raised their family in Angelina County, Texas. John and Esther along with their daughter Mary are buried at Old Union Cemetery in Lufkin. I have quiet a bit of info on the family . It seems John left Mississippi in 1848 or 1849, he and Ester married in Newton Co. Tx Feb 22, 1849 which would have been shortly after he arrived in Texas. There are stories that John left Mississippi after his father and mother past and the war broke out. His brother George W. Loving was killed in the Civil War. He came to Texas with a wagontrain along with his cousin Bailey C. Loving. Ater marrying he settled in Angelina County, Texas around what is now known as Lufkin, he and Esther raised their family their he is listed as a farmer in the 1850 cen. records. Hope that helps

  • Wayne, I wish I could help..... I live in Copiah and I been looking for years for a volunteer for this DNA. I have a good friend from this family, but still haven't found a volunteer. I also like to see Y-DNA from James Elisha Parker who married Sarah Gordon.
