Hi, I've been working on my paternal genealogy for a few years. I seem to hit a dead end at my great-grandmother who I'm told (by family) was full Native American. I'm wondering if anyone might have info that helps me find answers.
I have traced back to John Parker (b 1727) in NC.
His son John Parker II (b. 1765) in SC, died in Christian Co. KY.
His son Baylis Parker (b. 1790) also born in SC, died in Christian Co. KY
His son Morgan Parker (b. 1832) in KY also died KY
His son James M Parker (b. 1875) in MadisonvilleN KY
His son Johnny W. Parker (b. 1905, d. 1957) is my grandfather. His wife is Jewel Green.
His son Ralph Parker b. 1950 is my dad.
My dead end happens with Johnny's mother who I'm told is Mary Sapphire, a Native American likely from Missouri. I have found her possible father, E.D. Watson (or E. P. Watson), but neither seems to go anywhere.
