I believe

Peter Parker is my eighth great grandfather through his Eldest son,

John, through John's son,

James, through James' son

Amos who married Mary Farlee/Farlow. I represent Parker Family Group #1, cousin of P37. I have also proven the ancestry of P100, also in Parker Group #1, who positively descends from

Joseph Parker, a brother of John, and both mentioned in the Will of Peter Parker. Please contact me.

Hi Wayne,

Today, I have determined that there are at least three testors for the Y-DNA Parker Family Group #1, who I was personally responsible for, and who descend from the

three sons of Peter Parker. I believe (P37 is

still to be proven to John Anderson Brayton, and is in my direct line). They are as follows:

P37, descends from John, eldest son, in Peter's will.

P149, descends from Thomas.

P100, descends from Joseph.

Thomas, son of Peter and Elizabeth Parker, was born in Chowan Co., NC circa 1702/3. Thomas married Hannah, whose surname is unknown, and they lived most of their married life in Bertie Co., NC. Thomas “of Chowan” bought 400 acres of land on 9 March 1731 in Bertie County. This land was located on Cypress Swamp at Tumbling Branch from Henry Roads’s property line. He willed to his son Peter Parker the plantation and 220 acres where Thomas lived at the time he wrote his will. Thomas’ son Jacob received 220 acres of woodlands where his father Thomas once lived in Bertie County. Isaac Parker, another son of Thomas and Elizabeth’s, received ten pounds of Proclamation money to be paid to said Isaac by his three brothers. • I thought Peter Parker, will 1716 Chowan Co, NC, was born earlier than 1660. According to Following the Land, the author estimates Peter's eldest son, John, to be at least 25 years old. So, there is likely at least a 25 year age gap between Elizabeth's children and Peter's eldest son, John. John Parker patents 87 acres next to Peter Parker 29 October 1696 in Nansemond County, Virginia. So, John Parker could have been born about 1671 or earlier. This could place Peter Parker's birth to be about 1640-1645 or earlier.
    • Rebecca, That is why I posted this information in the hope that researchers of this Parker family will put together some good research and post what they find. Do your own research and question everyone research!! Happy hunting and I am looking forward to seeing you own research. Wayne
      • Much of what I found follows The Following the Land book. I had everything I could find on Peter Parker from Chowan County and Bertie County. In my research, Following the Land book kept coming up. I purchased it and found my findings coincide what is in the book for Peter Parker chapter 10.
