Simon was born in 1725 in Halifax, North Carolina. He passed away 31 Dec 1758 in Edgecombe, North Carolina.

Simon Parker family and descendants are all over the south as proven by well documented information. The North Carolina papers lead me to find Charity Parker Jones, daughter of Simon Parker in Halifax County, North Carolina. There are well documented records where Charity Jones sends her son Tignal Jones to Franklin County, Georgia to see about her brother either William or James Parker about his estate. James or William is dead at this time and Charity Jones is checking on her brother's estate in Franklin County, Georgia. There are excellent records and names in relation to this estate in the North Carolina State Records, Franklin County Georgia Records, and Halifax County, North Carolina Records. Simon Parker was from Edgecombe County, North Carolina and before that may have been in Gates County, North Carolina. There is evidence that Charity Parker husband may have lived in Gates County or that his father lived in Gates County, North Carolina. Here is a list of names and places that are associated with Simon Parker in connection with the estate of the deceased Parker in Franklin County, Georgia. William Rose and wife Milly, maiden name may be Parker, William Parker, brother of Charity Parker Jones, James Parker, brother of Charity Parker Jones, Francis Parker, brother of Charity Parker Jones, Jethro Parker son in law of Ptolomey Powell, William Lee and wife Patsey, maiden name may be Parker, Hightower Dodson and wife Ruth Parker, John Daniel, Eustace Daniel, Shadrach Goodin and wife Elizabeth, maiden name may be Parker, William Cain and Hardee Hatley/Hartley/Hastey. Here are the areas where these descendants lived, Smith County, Tennessee, York County, South Carolina, Burke County, Georgia, Hancock County, Georgia, Nash County, North Carolina, Montgomery County, North Carolina, Green County, Georgia, and Chatham County, North Carolina.

Judah Parker, Sarah Parker, Winnifred Parker and Charity Parker were four orphaned children of Simon Parker. Benjamin Foreman was the guardian of these four orphaned children from 1760 to 1769. This same Charity Parker who married Arthur Jones lived in Halifax North Carolina while her deceased brother Estate was in Franklin Georgia. Charity Parker Jones sent her son Tignal Jones down to Franklin Georgia to check on her brother Estate, either James or William Parker.

Other Parkers mentioned in the Halifax North Carolina record are James Parker, William Parker, Francis Parker, and Jethro Parker. Areas for all people mentioned in the Halifax Record include Smith, Tennessee, York, South Carolina, Burke, Georgia, Hancock, Georgia, Nash, North Carolina, Montgomery, North Carolina, Green, Georgia, and Chatham, North Carolina.

There appears to be a lot of PARKERs here in Franklin County, GA. Not even sure if this is your Aaron PARKER.

Here is a list of other PARKERs in Franklin County, GA.

Charity PARKER married a Mr JONES, John PARKER both in Elbert County and Franklin County, Robert PARKER, may very well be the father of Jesse PARKER my ancestor, Hubbard PARKER traveled same route and time of Jesse, probably related someway with Jesse PARKER, Joshua PARKER both Hubbard and Joshua were in the 1805 land lottery. Jesse PARKER married Polly HEWSE or HERRON 26 October 1806. Daniel PARKER 1808, according to the YDNA group 7 Daniel PARKER born after 1800 in South Carolina is related to Jesse PARKER, this Daniel could be related to Jesse and Robert. The Charity PARKER who married Mr JONES has a son Tignal, and Charity's brother is James PARKER living in North Carolina. William PARKER may also be a brother of Charity PARKER living in North Carolina.

Franklin Co Ga and Halifax Co NC Deed records show that Charity PARKER is a sister to James PARKER deceased. She sent her son Tignal JONES by power of attorney to Halifax Co NC to obtain land from her deceased brother James PARKER. Other people are also mentioned getting land and some of these people were in Nash Co NC. The record was under her married name of Charity JONES in Franklin Co GA.

I found a reference to a will (1766) of William Jones in Northampton Co NC that says he mentions his brother, Tignal.

Is there anyone that has found this will? If so, please contact me. I believe this Tignal is my ancestors. Tignal Jones' family came to Franklin Co GA prior to 1800, but without him. Charity Jones gave her son Tignal power-of- attorney in 1804 to go to NC and collect what was owed her from William Parker's will of Roanoke River. Her power-of-attorney did not mention the county, but now I believe Northampton Co is the place. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Louise

  • Wayne I think Charity Parker, William Parker and James Parker who are all siblings as proven in records are not sisters and brother to Robert Parker who I believe is the father of our Jesse Parker. There is a great amount of information on Charity Parker and all of these Parkers. Either James or William Parker died and had quite an estate and since he may not of had many direct heirs, Charity parker JONES sent her son Tignal Jones as a power of attorney, I believe they were living in North Carolina at the time. Halifax County, North Carolina or some County close by Halifax County, North Carolina. Anyway all sorts of people got involved and that is where they mention William, James, and Charity as siblings. Many Counties and even different states are mentioned as to where all these people lived. Georgia, North Carolina maybe more states. Great amount of information on the Charity Parker group of people. North Carolina State records where they mention the river and kind of where it was at and then I followed the river and figured it was around Halifax County, North Carolina. If you find all of these records please let every one know, I cannot seem to retrace myself in finding all of these records. Especially the North Carolina State Records. Once again thank you everyone for your assistance. And keep doing the YDNA and DNA. I have done the DNA myself.
    • Steven, You are correct. Charity, William and James parents were Simon Parker, Sr. and Judah Knight.
