If you recognize these names, please help me find my family!

(My mother says that my father had an elderly female relative (probably grandmother) that lived near Bakersfield, California in 1968.)

In my search for my father, William Parker, I signed up on a search angel site. The search angel found two women who were originally from Texas that died in Kern County, California:

Ola Mae Parker (mother's surname: Pruitt, Father's surname: Rowland)

DOB: 10/11/06

DOD: 11/28/91

She and her husband had 3 children in Fannin County, Texas including a William Wayne Parker who died in December 1969 in Texas.

The other woman is:

Lenoir B. Parker (Buster)

her last residence was in Lake Isabella, California

DOB: 10/07/08

DOD: 07/31/95

William Rowls Parker was born in Lamar County, Texas.  He may still be alive and maybe in Spokane, Washington.

Please contact me if you are related to or have any information about these Parkers.

Thank you!!!

    • Wow!  Thanks, Michael!!!  She lived in Shafter... I'm gonna check that out.
  • Hello,

Quite by accident I ran across this branch. (Mostly because this line descends from SIlas Parker Jr.) The information that I found does not match exactly with what you posted.

What does match is a branch of the family in and around Bakersfield (not surprising.  It is like a piece of Texas and Oklahoma dropped into the California Oil Patch) and one member from that group that ended up in the Seattle area.

I am still running down this rabbit trail. I will share what I have when it is more complete. Most of what I am getting is from Ancestry, and most of what I am finding is backed by census and Social Security records, so it looks pretty solid.  I will be sure to include all that so you can decide for yourself if it looks good.

    • Thanks so much, Michael.  I really appreciate your help!!! :) -Mara
