Allen is a new member and seeks information about Emm,a Parker of Gates Co, NC-a known Parker hot spot. Her father is John Wesley Parker 1854-1935, who descends from James B. Parker 1814-1895, Peter Parker 1784-1845, James Parker 1765-1805. I cannot find them on Parker Heritage. Can someone help Allen? Mike

Emma Parker died 1963, Halifax County, North Carolina, town of Hobgood. North Carolina death certificate which list her father as John Wesley Parker and mother as Emily Brown. 1900 Census has Emma listed as daughter and servant. Her father John W as Merchant and mother Emily O as Farmer. Brothers James H and Thomas B listed as Farm Laborers living with Emma and her Father and Mother. John S and Robert M are 2 other brothers. Leska G hard to read is another brother of Emma Parker in the 1900 Census. Nancy L is a younger sister in the 1900 Census. Census list 9 children born and 7 living in 1900. Two other children born after 1900, 2 more siblings of Emma Parker. Emma Parker married Dennis Wood Downs 14 April 1909 in Gates County, North Carolina.

Wayne, here is a little information on Aaron Parker and Margaret Browning. He was a slave holder. Married in Clarke County, Georgia. Harriett Annis Parker daughter of Aaron Parker. There is also an Aaron Parker married Mary Williams in Georgia, and the Aaron Parker who married Tabitha Rayborn in Georgia. Three different Aaron Parker in Georgia. Aaron Parker listed in every Census born in North Carolina so was he born in Virginia or North Carolina.
