In 1791 William's Creek Baptist Church in neighboring Wilkes County, Georgia reported Aaron Parker, a kinsman if not a brother of John Parker, as a candidate for the ministry. 16 Before the Parkers departed for Tennessee, the Nail's Creek Church had licensed, but not ordained, John Parker as a preacher."
