There I go again!

When I reply, I reply to myself.  This is what I am doing.  When someone replies to me I hit the reply button just below the person's reply, then when I get through typing the message the comment button shows up so I hit it.  But when I go back it looks like I have replied to myself.  Can someone help me, I am from the old school where we called on a phone or wrote letters.  I'll never get the hang of these computers, but I want too.   I am scared of a smartphone.  Gail

Orlena Parker/o"quinn Decendants

Trying to locate and find out info on descendants of Orlena Parker (Cynthia's sister) and John O'Quinn. I have little info on descendants of Orlena, Parker.. My ggrandmother  was called Lena O'quin and lived in Iredell, Texas. Her father was John O'uinn, not the one married to Orlena O'Quinn.  This John was born in Van Zandt County, TX in 1855.

I do not know if Orlena ever saw her sister Cynthia or not after she was retrieved from the Indians.

If some one could help fill in missing pieces I will be very thankful

I'm looking for information on Rebecca Parker. Rebecca was my great grandmother, my maternal grandfather's mother.  Her full name may have been Margaret Rebecca, but she went by Rebecca. I cannot determine her parents. I think her father was  William Parker LRN3-C8X, but I am not sure.

Rebecca's date of birth and death, and her FamilySearch number.

FG#5 ...... PLEASE HELP

ive been working on my family tree for a while now, off and on. I'm working on my moms side for now which i believe is the FG#5 Parker group. it seems like there is a LOT of confusion once i/we get to Elder John Parker and his father Nathaniel Parker? Nathaniel born in 1724 or 1730?

this is how my lineage goes:

my grandmother was born Maydell Parker in 1907 --> great grandfather Isaac Duke Parker 1880 - ? --> Daniel G Parker 1856-1941 --> William Eldridge Parker 1825-1858 --> Isaac Duke Parker 1793-1883 --> Elder John Parker 1758-1836 and this is where it gets crazy confusing. apparently there was a new DNA test result released in 2016 that says Nathaniel Parker born in 1730 is NOT related to Elder John Parker, so where doe it go from here now?

PLEASE HELP!

My great grandpa Robert Levi Parker (1865-1929)

My GGgrandpa James Parker (1825-aft 1880)

Samuel Parker 2nd Wife?

Samuel Parker Sr (1795 NC - 1865 Ark) of Parker DNA Group #7 was married at least twice.  We believe his second wife was named NANCY and she was born c. 1813 ... they had two daughters, Clementine b. 1853 in Miss. & Leander b. 1855 in Ark.  They are in the Ark census of 1860 & 1870 living in Pike Co Ark.

Today I received a message from another Ancestry.com member who wrote: "I think there is a high probability this is Samuel's 2nd wife! Found a marriage in Indiana of a Samuel Parker to Nancy E. Dickson. The date of marriage is 21 Feb 1851 which really caught my eye. No ages or resident state given for the couple. Indiana marriages 1811-2007 Wayne co. 1845-1852 Volume E on Family Search. The time for the marriage fits perfectly, 1st wife passes on Dec. 1850 and he remarried in Feb 1851."

Can any of our members provide any input on this finding?  Do any of you have a Samuel Parker who married a Nancy E. Dickson in Wayne Co Ind in 1851?

FL/AL Parkers?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to trace my history, unfortunately I didn't have much to start with. Honestly, I can't get past the Great Grandparent's. Its like they drop off before that, no marriage or census records, nothing. My grandmother once told me that she thought my great great grandfather's name was Isaac, but I can't find anything to prove that. She also swore we were Indian  (I'm supposed to be 1/64) but again, I've not found anything to support any of that. I'm hoping someone can help me get past this gap so I can keep tracing back.

We have family farm land on the FL/AL line, its called "Bud O's Misery".  There's a small church on the Alabama side that a bunch of the McKinnons and Outlaws are buried. Gum Head is one of the names of the places around where they all lived.

Also, I have a picture of my grandfather, and someone I never met standing beside a gravestone (William F Parker 1867-1926)

Family Lineage that I know:

Alex (circa 1893?- unknown) and Rosalie (Outlaw circa 1895 - unknown) Parker

Holmes County FL

Children: Rachel (1918-unknown), Pansy (1920-2008), Alvin (1922-unknown), Calvin Hulan (1923-2013), William Cawthon (1933-2013), Jeanette (1937)

Census Image from 1940 http://www.familytreenow.com/search/census/results/image/lr4sl226l2u9l

Pansy and Jeanette (both married, I think one of them to an surname Alton?).  Even though they were married, neither Pansy nor Hulan any children of their own.  Both Alvin and Hulan fought in WW2.  Hulan and William fought in Korea and Vietnam.

Hulan and Francis Scott (maiden name unknown) Parker

Lived in Kent, WA for a long time.

William C. and Maxine (McKinnon) Parker (1934-2012)

Lived in Panama City, FL for over 20 years.

Children: Kay (Pozzuoli) and Gary

Gary and Shelley (Shaw) Parker

Children: MaryKate, Meghan, Wil

James Jordan Parker is my paternal grandfather (GF). He was born 5/3/1863 and died 1/22/1925 in Bertie, NC. He married my GM, Maggie Ophelia Barber, when his first wife (Molly Holloman) died. James and Molly had one son, my Uncle Otis Parker. James and Maggie had 5 children (2 girls and 3boys) including my dad.James Jordan's father, and my GGF, was Jordan Parker, born in Bertie, NC (unknown date) and died in 1887, Bertie, NC. Jordan was married to my GGM, Jarsey Charlotte Morris, DOB 3/7/1830, DOD 2/1/1894, in Bertie, NC.I believe (but have not yet confirmed) that my GGFJordan Parker's father, and my GGGF, was John Parker, born in 1795 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland and died in Jackson, NC (date unknown). John Parker was married to Esther Lupton, born 1810, Bertie, NC, and died in 1870, Bertie, NC.At 73, I am the youngest living member of my family and a female. My father and none of my uncles or male cousins that I know of are living. I have done the Ancestry and NATGEO DNA tests but being female have no way of getting the yDNA analysis. So, I am hopeful I may be able to connect in this forum with two things:1) a male relative connected to my father's family lineage, and2) solid leads on John Parker whom I believe to be my GGGF and any further information on his family history in the US and Ireland.
