Looking for information on Peter and Ann Parker, from Henry County, Alabama.. his son James Parker born in 1845, in Henry County, Alabama is my 3X grandfather and relocated to Floyd county Va after the civil war.. and then my 3x grandfather married Mariah Agnew also from Floyd County Va..... He listed on his marriage license.. to Mariah Agnew that his parents were Peter and Ann Parker, and he was born in Henry County Alabama in 1845. We were told by my grandfather, George Parker, that he was Native American. I have searched and searched in census and birth, marriage, and death certificates online and have found nothing.. anyone from Alabama that could give me some information regarding my ancestry and could share this with me it would be greatly appreciated..

  • I did the DNA too and got the Iberian peninsula Steven Charles Kratz. I think this mystery "Parker" with the dark skin, eyes, and hair might have been more Syrian than Indian.
  • Thank you for the information regarding.. the 1855 census.. will check it out.. I am waiting now to get the DNA test taken this week from ancestry.. so will be so many answers I hope answered after that.. I will be back here after the test results come back and see if I can connect with any Parker's here on the site.. hoping this will give me more information.. and a better direction to find Peter and Ann Parker..and also find other information .. excited to do the DNA.. :) The Agnews I have chased down pretty well .. finding so much information.. but seems like James and his parents just magically appeared.. Will update you when I know about the DNA .. again thank you will check that census out... also...
  • 1855 Alabama state census has a Peter PARKER along with some other PARKER. These PARKER are in Henry Country, Alabama. Do the Test to determine if you have Indiana heritage. I did the test and found out some interesting things about my Heritage. Iberian peninsula, did this come from my PARKER's I wonder. Samuel Agnew, then Joel Agnew, and then Mariah Agnew. Information on the Agnew's, not so much on the PARKERs. 1860 Census, Samuel Agnew, Joel Agnew, and Mariah Agnew, Floyd County, VA..
  • Still looking for information.. if anyone knows... or could help.. would be greatly appreciated...
