Relation to Bonnie Parker

Is anyone on here related to Bonnie Parker.  Our grandmother remembered her visiting them when she was young, but I cannot find the connection.  Supposedly she was a cousin and visited with her mother.

  • I have been told the same thing from my family. I can track the Parker line only back to my Great Grandfather. In the 1900 census there is a C. Parker who was born in Louisiana married to Meta (Meda) Parker. This fits, but nothing else and in the 1910 census Meta is shown as widowed. I was told that Meta Parker babysat Bonnie Parker which leads me to think if I could find the C. Parker it might be his brother?
  • Hello, Margaret Denton: You have mentioned that your grandmother was Lilliam Parker Coker (1901-1954. If you would share a few bits more data on your ancestors, I should be able to help you make a connection to the family line of Bonnie Parker's family. I expect that the result will be -- at your generation anyway -- fairly distant, but well documented. Kindly help with:

    1. Name of your Parker great grandfather. He would have been one of the eight or nine sons of Reverend James Anthony Parker. Reverend Parker had two wives, first Martha Cullifer and later Elizabeth Penn. I suspect the son I seek was a child of Elizabeth Penn.

    2. Do you recall if the visit took place in Texas?

If you care to help me with this information, please respond by email jandpparker@msn.com or here at Parker Heritage.
