Nova Scotia Parkers

Hi, it appears as though most of the Parkers settled in the US.  I am looking for a line of Parkers that settled in Nova Scotia,Canada.  Is there anyone else searching this line?  Thanks for any help received as I have hit a road block. Cheers, Shirley

  • Hi, yes, I’ve done a small amount of work on some Parkers who moved from New England to Nova Scotia. For example Jonathan Parker 1732 Groton, Mass, died Nova Scotia in 1771. Some his grandchildren (Joshua, Jane, Ezekiel, etc) came to Ohio, which is one one my interests
  • Beverly, do you have siblings for your Daniel b.1757 OR other family names? There are several Parker "walls" from that time period. Many unproven sources state my James b.1752 CT. But I have doubts as he served during Revolution and m.Doty from NJ.
  • Yes, some Parkers moved from Connecticut to Nova Scotia. I have a 4x great grandfather, Daniel Parker, who was born in Wellington, CT 8 Oct 1757 and was in NS by 1786. He died in Billtown, NS 21 Jun 1824. Don't know if he was a Loyalist or not.
  • Shirley, several Loyalist Parker families left NJ for Canada after the Revolution. Do you have more information i.e. birth dates of 1700s Parker ancestors?
