WE BROKE THE MATERNAL LINE WALL!!!!!

we have finally broke daown that wall on the maternal side of my grandpa parker. All we had was a name partial date and an old pic from the civil war times of a wells family. I know I have been blessed for I had just helped someone else on here to get started in her research (and i will continue to help) and a good deed came back around on me. Two nights ago on a whim contacted the man that has the houston county genweb site asking for an email of the person who gave him the wells family info on that site. I told him one of the names on there was the name i was looking for but the date was way off. Soon after emailing avis a note and a picture we have never been able to identify,I got a response and it said "I will check my records". We all know most of the time people don't get back with you but, i was hopeful. The next morning, yesterday, I checked my email and it something about how the woman in my picture looks alot like the woman in mine. We exchanged histories and more info. I saw the picture the wells family had and the woman was the exact same woman!! long story short I had a picture of their family members they had never seen before. The man in mine, the husband of the woman in theirs, they had always wanted to see but had no pictures of! The picture was identified as sarah wells and john wiley wells. Avis is very thankful for no one has seen john before. For many generations sarah wells's picture hung in their home known as granny wells. I had their missing link and to me they have been mine. My great grandmother nancy elizabeth payne was the daughter of jeremiah E payne and martha ann wells. martha was sarah and john wiley's daughter. nancy elizabeth payne married ben parker and had my grandpa john wilson parker 1896. Now if only i could get past ben parker? lol
