Greetings cousins!  I descend from Mary Jane Parker, b 1812 in NC.  In 1832 she married Daniel Jones in Lowndes county AL, m by JP David Bird.  Until a few months ago, that was all the info I had for her.  However, having found my Jones family in Bladen County, NC, I had begun to keep my eyes open for Parkers.  Meanwhile, while reconfirming their Jan 4 marriage date, it suddenly dawned on me that there were two other Parker girls who had married in 1832 into families related or allied to my Bladen Joneses.  They were also two more of the only 6 total marriages performed by David Bird (3/6 were Parker girls)

Using Ancestry.com, I began to trace Catherine Parker b abt 1814 who m David Bedsole and Sidney/Edna/Edny Parker b abt 1810 who m Nathan Hall. (Note birthdates are +/- 2 years of my Mary Jane).  Catherine appears to have had at least two girls with same given name as Mary Jane's family, Lucy & MJ.  Also, Bedsoles were first cousins of Daniel Jones.

Sidney/Edna/Edny Hall appears to have left Alabama after 1850 and lived out her life in Bowie, Texas.  Husband Nathan Hall may descend from the Barnabas Hall line of Bladen County, and may be the uncle to Jack Wilson Hall who married Elizabeth Jones, eldest daughter of my Daniel and Mary Jane Jones.  Nathan and Edny also had at least two girls with MJ's family names:  another Mary Jane and Rivanna(ah)  (This may also be a clue to origins since Rivannah was name of VA river)

There are 2 data bases that say Thomas Parker and Catherine Howard were the parents of Sidney/Edny, the oldest of these Parker girls.  No births noted after 1810, and no indication that any other family member left Sampson/Bladen area.

I also have Parker as allied family via my Bedsole line, but cant connect my MJ...or Catherine or Edny...to them in anyway.

So there is my story!  I feel as if Im so close to solving this  Does anyone have any ideas?
