Hello, Carol Ann Parker Cocke:
The suggestion Mike Parker of Parker Heritage made to you about finding your Nathanial Jr. Parker is a good one. In addition, you may want to research Nathaniel Jr. throuigh the many biographies of his father, Nathaniel Parker Sr, bca. 1728-1730 who married 1) Ann Clayton and had many children. After Ann Clayton died, the Parker family left Virginia and settled in what became BethPage, Sumner Co. Tennessee before 1790.
Nathaniel Sr. married the widow Mary Ramsey Bledsoe in Sumner County, and there was no issue. His son Nathaniel Jr. married 1) Sarah "Sally" Ramsey there and later married 2) Lucretia Penney. Nathaniel Jr. had several children.
Be sure to review the extremely helpful online site "Descendants of Nathanial Parker" with sources, pictures, and much information prepared by the Johnson and Brown families of BethPage, descendants all of the Long Hunter Nathaniel Sr.
Through YDNA, descendants of Nathaniel Sr. Parker b. 1730 have been matched into Parker Project Family Group #18.
I did not find any specific references in the "Descendants" writing to the Woodson Daniel Parker b. 1796 and Abigail Mitchell couple listed as your ancestors. That was probably because Woodson D. Parker moved to Indiana early in life and married there. However, the given name Woodson appeared often in the Johnson and Brown text over the generations.
Good luck in your research.
