My grandfather was born in Stigler Oklahoma and later moved to Pampa Texas where my mother, Helen Louise Stipe (Parker) was born, The next family move was to Lynwood and Paramount California. I am trying to piece together our linage so I am grateful for any assistance.

James Parker of Groton, MA i.e.

  • My grandparents were Henry & Geneva Parker who moved to California late 1940's or early 1950's. They had eight children, Benny,Betty, William (Bill), Robert (Bob) my dad, Dorothy, Manuel, Jack, and Thelma (Pauline).

Grandma,Grandpa, and aunt Betty lived in Lynwood. The rest lived in Riverside, Downey and other areas of California. Some later moved to kingman Az, and Uncle Manuel lived in Pampa Tx.

My parents divorced in 1968 so there has been little to no contact on the Parker side. Does anyone have any info?
    • Hi Carol. My grandfather was Jack Parker. We lived in Paramount California and went to Los Cerritos Elementary. I now live in NW Nevada.
    • My name is Kay Karol Parker Jennings. My father was Benny Parker. Our family lived in Paramount, CA and went to Roosevelt Elementary School. I am the same age as your brother Bobby. I remember you, June Marie, and Ellen.
Aunt Dorothy was the last of your aunts and uncles to pass perhaps 2 or 3 years ago. She lived in Riverside, Ca. She has one daughter Lana Henifin who knows a lot of family history passed down from Grandma Parker.
    • Hi Kay. I just found out that Robert Eugene Parker (the last of your dad's (and my grandpa's) brothers died in 2016. I have his obit if you would like a copy. Hugs Frank
    • Kay, it was so good to talk to you today. It was so exciting to have a Parker family member finally to see my post. I will get in contact with Lana soon. Thanks a million for the phone call!
