  • Evelyn Park Blalock, please review Parker DNA Family Group 29, can you email or message me?
  • Hello, for those of you who are members of the Parker DNA project over on FamilyTreeDNA... what is your assigned Family Group? We have several DNA matches on Ancestry that point to Parker immigrants in Middlesex County, Connecticut. I would like to compare my dad's DNA to yours. Thanks for any assistance!
  • Hi I believe that, I'm descendant of Abraham Parker's line. My Great grandfather was Leonard Newton Parker. His father was Isaac Newton Parker, son of Eli Ellsworth Parker, son of John D. Parker. Johns father was Eliab Parker, Eliab's father was Elisha S. Parker, Elisha father was John Parker. I have done DNA on Ancestry. My Grandfather was Claude Louis Parker Senior. My Parkers lived in West Virginia, Moved North to Ohio. Then they moved to Perry County Indiana. After Indiana they moved to Missouri. After Missouri they moved to Bucklin Kansas, Ford county. Sometime around 1915 my Great Great Grandfather moved to Houston Texas, He was a Reverend. His name is Isaac Newton Parker. If you go on his find a grave, I have posted a picture of him, with my Great grandfather and his other son Louis Parker. Thanks for having this site.
  • Hi Darrell, I joined Parker Heritage today and see that we have some same family members. Eliphalet is my 7th great grandfather and we plan on going to Wallingford to find his grave. I have them traced back to Abraham but that's as far as I have gotten. Do you know where John and Edward are buried?

  • I know there are more Parker's from this group out there! We have 3 of which are 'adopted' names other than Parker. We have family in Northern California that ties into my line with Thomas Parker and Mary Potter of KY-IN. Mary Potter is dau of Nathaniel Potter and Charlotte Lloyd who were married 29 Nov 1787, Washington County, VA. Thomas Parker and Mary Potter were married 17 Mar 1810 in Garrard County, Kentucky. Thomas Parker is son of Ichabod Parker and Susannah Cook, (Susannah Cook is dau of Asaph Cook and Sarah Parker) Ichabod is son of Didymus Parker and Phebe Johnson. Didymus is a twin of Eliphalet Parker who married Damaris Parker. Eliphalet Parker was married to Hannah Beach. Eliphalet is son of John Parker Jr. and Hannah Bassett. John Parker born 08 Oct 1648 died 08 Feb 1714 and Hannah Bassett born 13 Sep 1650 and died 07 Jun 1726. John Parker Jr. as some have it is the son of John Edward / Edward John Parker and Elizabeth Wood Potter Parker later to be Rose.
The Parker's lived in Saybrook, New Haven, Wallingford Ct, my line moved to Hassock, later to be renamed Adams, Mass. then to Granville, NY (of which Ichabod served in the NY Assembly on 2 terms.. They fought in the wars from the beginning of the 1600's, many served in the French/Indian War, Rev War. Enos and Ichabod were officers in the Rev War. Didymus was a SGT and officer. Minutemen, After the Rev War, Ichabod moved to Sugar Crk, Ky, married Mary Noble of which I can not find any more info on her. Ichabod Parker, son Thomas Parker and Mary Potter Parker moved to Sandcreek, Greensburg, In where the Potters started a Church which still stands and in operation. After Mary Potter Parker died, Thomas Parker and grown family moved to the Shellsburg, Iowa area and branched out there. One of their kids moved to Northern California in mid-late 1800's, had a pack train from Yreka to Eureka California area. My line came to Oregon on or about 1900 whit their live stock when the first train was open from California to Oregon.
We have so much HISTORY, just need to make a contact in England, Ireland, Scotland. We have FamilyTree DNA Parker Group 29. Please help this old man!
    • Darrell, have you submitted a Y-DNA sample to the Parker DNA project on FamilyTreeDNA? I would like to compare your results to my dad's. Our line also goes from Kentucky to Indiana and then onward to Kansas, Nebraska and points further west (with a stop in Illinois along the way).
    • Darrell, do you have a Peter Parker anywhere in your history? B. ca 1790, NC, m. Mary Murphy 1815, Ohio.
