What follows below are some notes I made from the microfilm of the minutes of the White Plains Baptist Church in Greene County, Georgia. It might be interesting or helpful to someone. However, I must warn you that this was done with a quick look through the microfilm of this and another church before I had to return them. I was looking for names that I recognized or thought looked familiar. I am sure I missed a lot. I made copies of some pages, so I could go back and look up something that looked confusing or questionable. The dates covered here are 1806-1876.

Church Covenant
We being called of God, as we hope out of natures darkness into his marvelous light, and being regularly baptised by Immersion upon the profession of our faith in Christ and believing it to be our duty to let our light shine before men, we do mutually agree to compose our selves together in a body as a church of Jesus Christ, to keep house for God, in the which we give ourselves to the Lord and to each other, to watch over one another in love, every individual to be subject to the whole, no one to absent himself without leave, unless being unreasonably refused. We also take the old and new testament as our only rule of faith and practice believing in the sublime doctrines contained therein (viz) the fall of Adam and the imputation of his sins to his posterity, the everlasting love of God in Christ to his people before the world began, particular redemption, affectual calling, Justification by the righteousness of Christ imputed, Sanctification by the holy Spirit, and the final perseverance of the Saints in grace, as preparatory to eternal glory. • Thanks, Steven, especially for reminding about the Parker FG#7 group. I usually forget to mention that.

The church records can be very helpful, though sometimes when there are common names it can be hard to sort out who is who. I had also considered Dicy might be Laodicea, Isaiah's wife. However, if the inscription on her tombstone is inscribed correctly at Find-A-Grave, she was converted and baptized in 1804. This seems confirmed by Isaiah's obit in "The Primitive Baptist," which says he joined the church at the same time as his wife in 1804. So that is 6 years before the Dicy Parker above joined at White Plains in 1810.
    • Jesse Parker my direct ancestor was in Franklin County, Georgia, Nails Creek, which I believe from research is very close to the South Carolina border. There is a Jesse Parker who I believe is my Jesse Parker that had a passport stating that he was a Native of South Carolina. So I am interested in any FG #7 in either North Carolina or South Carolina. His son married my direct ancestor married Martha Ann Tubb who was from South Carolina. Also in Parkers, FG #7 from Georgia. Thanks again to you and everyone else for all your great research, Every one have a happy New Year, make it the best coming year for all of 2022, cheers.
  • 1846 Sydney Frances Parker was received by experience of Grace. She is the daughter of Emanuel Parker and Mary Austin.
  • Dicy may be Lodecia May wife of Isaiah Parker. Polly and Patience Parker may be connected to either Isaiah Parker, Stephen Parker.
  • Stephen Parker, Dicy Parker, Richard Parker, Sally Parker, Amanuel or Emanuel Parker are all part of Parker FG#7, Greene County, Georgia who later moved to Rusk County, Texas. See Lincoln McMillen, that writes this information. Dicy may be Lodecia.
  • I edited the following to correct the date from 1853 to 1863. When I was looking at the Lewis Parker, Jr. family last night, I noticed some of those children were extremely young to join the church in 1853. Checked the original and found I had miscopied it. If Lewis Parker, Jr. died in Walterboro, SC in 1862 (which I believe but have not proved), then his family moved back to Georgia after his death.
