I received a new Parker book this week “The Parker Family from Browsholme, England to Nansemond, Chowan, and Gates Counties, USA” by Surry P. Roberts, Tricia Artim, Courtney Barefoot, and Hannah Dewey.

Surry P. Roberts is a Parker descendant and his male Parker cousin has had his y-DNA tested and matched FG#7.

If you get a change please read and then make your own mind up about the facts presented in their book.

Right now I know nothing more about where the book can be found nor how much it is selling for but will post when I do.

Below is a copy of the e-mail that I sent Surry P. Roberts today. May 7.2016

Wayne N. Parker researcher for P239 of FG#7

Hello Surry,

I received your book and I appreciate you sending it to me very much but unfortunately for me. I don’t see any new information that will change my mind about the facts of my research of the earlier Parker family y-DNA FG#7 in American . As I said before, I believe the father of Richard Parker I of Nansemond Co., VA was William Parker.

Your research has combined the three contemporary Richard Parker families that lived in 1600’s VA into one family.

Wayne”

  • I have been informed that the book is not available right now as Surry Roberts wants to “reprint the book in a more interesting format in 6-12 months or so”

    • Maybe you corrected him and he sees his error!
      • I can only hope so. I invited him to join PH last year but so far he hasn't.
        • keep us posted!!!
          • I will post something when Surry Roberts let me know.
