I've heard from several sources that Philip Parker is Hezekiah's father, but no one has offered a rationale for this.  There are two other candidates for Hezekiah's father in Bledsoe County at the right time.  They are John Parker, and Roaly (Rolen?, Roland?).  I've found a tree on Ancestry, com ("Family Tree 2003" by "jeannie12055" which has Hezekiah, John, and Rolen as Philip's sons (along with several other children).  This would work, because the ages are right.  John and Rolen, as the oldest sons, were of an age to be listed separately from Philip in the 1815 TN tax rolls, and Hezikiah would have been 5 years old.

Does anyone have any documentation about this line around 1790-1820?

It's conceivable that "John" is "John Thomas" and my gggg-grandfather.  DNA would support it.

  • Hello Ronald, I think I can help with this. There was a Parker genealogy book, Descendants of Hezekiah V. Parker, Sr. and Mary Ann (Smith) Parker
1988 by Mildred Beth Wise Stewart. In that book, she describes a page from a family bible that belonged to Dessie Parker Woolman, who was the grandDaughter of Virginia Ellen Parker, the widow of Hezekiah V. Parker, Jr. The Bible lists Hezekiah V. Parker Sr. and all his siblings.

There was a will that was discussed by one of the sons. In discussing the will, he states that his father was Phillip Parker.

I will try to make copies of the pages in question and send them to your personal email.

    Rick
