This is the name of my great-grandmother's father. She said his middle name was Bledsoe. Of course, she also said he was found floating down a river clinging to a board...and she's also stated that her mother came here on a wagon from a reservation, but I don't think my research has concluded that. My granny liked her Natty Light.
According to the 1880 Federal Census:

This shows his mother as "Calaforia" (Unable to find anything out about her except her last name could be snider or snyder) and his father was James A. Parker
1880 Age: 34
Dover, Stewart, Tennessee, United States
Age: 34; Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Self
According to Tennessee State Marriages 1780-2002
Elvis married Mary Frances Smith.

Carroll, Tennessee'
I had found the marriage license at my local library.
Now, I can not find ANYTHING else on him to really confirm what happened here. I can't find a death record, burial site, or anything. I was wondering if anyone has came across this person in their research and might can be of some assistance here. I've searched FindAGrave but nothing viable there. I'm at the point now where I'm about to scour every single cemetery in the surrounding counties.
I DID find something on Mary Frances Smith in the 1900 Federal Census.
Civil District 25, Carroll, Tennessee
- Age: 34; Marital Status: Widowed; Relation to Head of House: Head
- So, either he died between 1890 and 1900, or they divorced and she lied, because I've came across some marriage licenses on Family Search.org where an Elvis Parker married another person (I don't have the exact source at the moment).
- Given that "Elvis" wasn't a totally popular name like John or James, and I'd be less likely to believe there'd be more than one in my region, what do you think?
