    • Hello, Richard - The following may not be news to you, but offered for your research:: Aquilla Fuller Parker was son of Henry P. Parker b. 1825 Alabama. Aquilla's mother was Nancy J. Barnes, b. 1829 Alabama. The Henry P. Parker family migrated from Alabeme to Mississippi between 1860 to 1865. Aquilla was born between May 1869 and August 1869 probably near Pittsboro, Calhoun County, Mississippi. The random ocensus-taker's entry that shows Aquilla born 1870 is inaccurate.

Aquilla lived in Calhoun Co. with his parents until in 1891 he married Nora/Lenora Kilgore. She was born 1874 Ala. and was a daughter of James and Mahala Kilgore. Based upon the Parker's marriage date of 1891 and the birth dates of their surviving children, it is suggested that a first unnamed child born ca. 1892 and another unnamed one born ca. 1905 died as infants. Son Jim Henry Parker (Sr.) born 1894 was probably their second child. 1910 Mississippi census entries listing three of the Parker children as born in Oklahoma was a census-taker's error. When grown, all of the Parker offspring reported that they were born in Mississippi. 1920 until early 1940, the family farmed in Tunica, MS. Sources: US censuses and vitals.

Good luck in your research. Patricia Ross Parker, FG#7 researcher
      • Thank you Patricia. It was Faedra who is the interested party, I merely asked for parameters before starting to look - looks like you came up with plenty without those.

        Regards,
        Jack Parker
        • Hello again, Richard -

Yes, I was aware of Faedra's posts. Faedra and her sister are both members here at Parker Heritage, and, from time to time, one or the other has renewed interest in their family history. When they post, we site researchers here respond. I have forwarded data to the sisters for many years on generation after generation of their ancestors.

In case you had an interest in any of those same ancestors, I looped you in. I have more if you want it. If you were simply doing a genealogical good deed, thank you. Good luck.
