    Just saying "hello" to the group. I just joined the group today (Oct. 1, 2018) after creating a Parker Heritage account yesterday (Sept. 30). I am a descendant of John Parker and Rachel Sessums through their daughter Lewrany or Lurainy (I've seen it spelled both ways), who married Gregory Clark, a SC Rev. War veteran, and then through their daughter Clarissa Clark, who married Michael Seay. My maternal grandmother was a Seay. I already have a lot of information about John and Rachel but would welcome any info anyone would like to share because I am sure I probably don't know everything about them that I would like to know.

    I recently looked up information on the first son of John and Rachael (Sessums) Parker. His name being John, born 1753. He fought in the American Revolution. He was from Bladen county, NC.
    The battle he fought in was "Moore's Creek" in now Currie, NC. I have been there. The battle was at Moore's Creek bridge and it is now a US National Park.

    Looking for Alfred Parker born abt: 1803 to 1806. Son of John H Parker lll and Rhonda Bedsole. He is listed in the 16th generation of Rachel Parker Santana's - Parker Genealogy for the descendants of (Daniel Louis Parker)
    Ive been searching in NC because all Census and marriage records in Ohio 1840 indicate he was from NC. This is the only Alfred Ive been able to find in NC.

    Hi I see the last post from summer 2015. Is anyone still reading these posts? My name is Alecia and I am a descendant from John and Rachel (Sessums) Parker from Bladen County NC. Do I have the correct group? I have a family history book that someone put together, called Parker and Blount. It begins with this couple previously mentioned mid 1700's.

      Hi, Alecia. You've come to the correct place. I descend from John and Rachel (Sessums) Parker through their son Simon "Peter". i don't know how much information you have on John and Rachel's children. If you ever desire to look, several women have joined DAR through John Parker. You should be able to get a little information from the DAR's general website.
      I would love to know more about your Parker book. I lost quite a bit of my information a couple years ago. I need to re-prove Simon Peter's connection to John and Rachel. Does your book include anything about Simon Peter Parker and his wife, Lucy Bedsole?

      Hi my book is titled Parker and and Blount in Florida, published in 1983. My name is in it. There is a copy in the library of Congress I am told. It follows a particular line from John and Rachael (Sessums) Parker from Sampson County, NC through their son Luke. The descendants of Luke who then ended up marrying into the Blount family.
      This book follows mostly genealogy in NC and Florida.
      The children listed under John and Rachael (Sessums) Parker are as follows:
      John (in Rev. War and fought in the battle of Moore's Creek Bridge in NC)

      You have the right group Alecia, and welcome! Yes it's been awhile since anyone contributed here, but we're still active. The line through John and Rachel's son John is the one I'm most familiar with. Would you mind sharing this a bit further forward?

    My mother Patricia Brown is a descendant of Julia Ann Parker making John And Racheal Parker my 6th great grandparents
