West Central Wisconsin Parkers

Hi Cousins,

I am looking to validate the info I have, and to further my exploration of my Mothers side of our Family. Her name was Marjorie Marcella Parker married to my father Frank Corneilius Matzke. She was born Jan. 4th 1927 and died Dec. 25th 1995. I have a deceased brother who died at birth, Frances C Matzke B. 1947.

Her father, my Gr #1 was Ted Lee Parker married to Elvah Ellen Martin. He was B. Aug. 31st, 1906 and died mid 1960's. They had 10 children, Rohland William, Marjorie Marcella, Orville ?, Arlene Marie, Vonnie C, Robert Delman, Dale Teddy, Corlene Jean, Wanda May, and Dixie Lee.

Gr #2 Teds father was Isaac Ezekial (Zeke) Parker,  B. Apr. 25th, 1854, Died 1927. He married twice, first to May Patton 1879. Their Children were, Bertha D. 1970, Olive 1879-1973, Della (Dilly) 1880-1965, Evie May 1887-1912, Andrew M (Bud) 1889-1970, Ed Thomas 1890-1976, Lloyd 1891-1923, (twin) Loyal 1891-1956, Purda (Trudy) 1892-1897........Second wife Emma L (Jones) Cox. and their children, Unnamed girl D. unknown, Johny ?, Elgin ?, Sarahanna ?, Glen Cox (hers), Ole Cox (hers, Isaac Ezekial (Ike) 1899-1986, Amy A 1900-1972, Josephine ? 1903-?, Ted Lee 1906- 1960 something, Jennie Mae Dates ?, Lenna Merrietta Dates?

From here it is questionable.I was told Zeke's father was Andrew Marrion (Marrium ?) Parker, B. 1835 in Rush Couty IN, and Died 1863 in Howard Couty IN. Married to Sarah Stout in 1853. They had 3 sons, Isaac Ezekial B. Apr. 25th 1854, John M B. 1856, and Job Elias Alex Andrew B. 1858. After Andrew died, Sarah took the 3 children to Vernon County WI, and married Calvin P Rice on Nov. 10th 1867.

Please help me with any information you have. I would appreciate it very much. Thank You, Judy L (Matzke) Tenner

(PS, I have not had a chance to go look for Thomas yet and we are about to be hit with a blizzard, I'll have to keep that on my todo list for the time being.)
  • Thank you.
  • Here is Thomas's headstone: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=18311892

Wakefield - why I couldn't find him - well it is close to Reading. I'll just pop over this weekend and look for him.

  • Hi Richard, No, none of my male Parkers have had a DNA test. Thanks for finding the typo. Deacon Thomas Parker died in 1683. I don't know if you have seen this, but it is interesting too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Parker_%28deacon%29 Keep in touch if you find anything else interesting. ~ Judy
