Please Help!

Hello, My daughter and I are trying to put together our family tree. I'm hoping someone could help me on the Parker side. I have an old tin photo of Quanah Parker that's been passed down and I was always told that he was family. My father and aunt have been able to help a little but we've hit a roadblock. Here's what we know. Edna Lee Parker, grandmother - Adairville, KY - 1914-2004. Grundy Parker, great-grandfather - Adairville, Ky and Simpson County, KY - birth about 1883. Isaac W Parker, great-great-grandfather - Adairville, Ky and Simpson County, KY - birth about 1855. Then I get stumped. I know that Isaac's mother was Permelia Parker, but she was widowed and I can't find anything about her husband. If anyone could give me a little help, I'd sure appreciate it. Thank you!

If you allow for name typos, the children names look like a match, and the ages are close. So now we are looking for a J A Parker, b ~1812 in Tennessee (perhaps) d ~1870

  • Thank you both for the help. I'm thinking that the stories my father grew up hearing might not be accurate. Now if I could just figure out what Parker line we are. Right now William B Parker and Permelia Unk Parker is as far back as I can go. Also if I could figure out who this is in the picture that everyone thought was Quanah Parker would be great. When I find out what line we are in I'll add some of these photos to ancestry.com.
  • I fail to match any of your data to PG5 Cynthia Ann, nor thus Quanah. I have found similar Parkers decending from LoganCounty,KY. Will search more at later date.
  • While I'm not related to any of your Parker's, I did find a LOT of items on www.ancestry.com while doing my research. I recall I saw a lot of information, especially in other members family trees on Isaac Parker and Quanah Parker. Photos, wills, land records, military records etc
