I looked at the census records and Find A Grave records. Your John R. Parker is Rev. John L. Parker his parents was John W. Parker and his wife Ella Frances Evans. Ella Frances Evens parents were Frances Elizabeth Parker b. 16 Mar 1835; died 24 Feb 1911 Calloway County, KY; m. John Evans. According to the research of Joe Crouch, Frances Elizabeth Parker father was Thomas D. Parker b. 26 May 1799 Pennsylvania/Virginia married Elizabeth Acree b. 4 July 1805 Bertie Co., N.C.
Note: John W. Parker father maybe (???) a son of Thomas D, Parker.
