As I continue to search the Parker's that are connected to Sarah Hudson, daughter of 1 st Peter Hudson, and her husband Edward Parker of Halifax Co. Va They were married ca 1740's.probably in Henrico Co. Va the land then fell into Lunenburg Co, and then Halifax as of 1752. My Peter Hudson also had land in Charlotte Co. Va. So was prosperous family.
This is the finding. Edward Parker Jr, born Edward Parker the Jr. born ca 1740's and married a Susannah Sharp daughter of Henry Sharp of Henrico Co, Va around 1765. As proven by Will of Susannah mother's Will. They moved from Halifax Co. Va to Rowan Co.( Now Davie Co.) North Carolina. His Will of 1819 is found on web site Edward Parker of North Carolina. They knew he came from Halifax Co Va as the sons and daughter were married and some continued to live there. They married into the Womack's, Jenkins', Abbott and Liscomb families of Halifax Co. Va
Have made contact with Edward Parker son David Parker family decedents and that of Susannah Parker who married into the Thomas Hughes family. They seemed to have stayed in North Carolina. They were happy to have the information that connects them to Halifax Co. Va family. And in the process of verifying the information I have sent. Some of this family moved to Madison Co Tenn. The David Parker decendant did the DNA with Ancestry.com which was some time ago. He said it didn't help. I did ask Wayne Parker and he gave me the Web address for this gentlemen to send his information to. But as this time I don't know if he will pursue the information. It would be great if we would as that may indeed prove the connection to the Francis and William Parker of Halifax Co. Va and Smith Co. Tenn.
Now I have also made connection to a lady who has made the connection with the son of William Parker of Smith Co. Tenn. This William Parker came from Halifax Co. Va ca 1804 if not before. And according to his Will ,he had son William, Richard, Edward and Joseph, daughter Lucy who married Rev.Miles West.
She has traced Edward Parker, son of William Parker, to his family from Smith Co. to Williamson Co. Illinois.
So this Halifax Co. Va Parker family has connections from Halifax Co to Smith Co Tenn to Williamson Co. Illinois. I know that Francis Parker of Smith Co. Tenn daughter married a Thomas Nash who moved to I believe Crawford Co. Indiana. Many of Francis Parker family stayed in Smith Co. Tenn.
