Looking for ancestors of Pharaoh Parker, Johnston Co, NC

My paternal grandmother is Armatha Parker of Johnston Co, NC., (1885-1923). Her father was William Thomas Parker also of Johnston Co, NC (1856-1927) and was married to Emily Jane Holly. William Thomas was the son of Pharaoh Parker (1829-1905) in Johnston Co, NC. Pharaoh's father was Joseph Parker (1778-1863) married to Lucinda Prescott. It is beyond Joseph Parker where a dead-end occurs.

Since this is my maternal grandmother, I will be doing DNA testing, but unable to perform yDNA which is the most accurate. It would be great if there are any male direct descendants who would be willing and able to submit the yDNA.

Hi David, I saw your post. I'be been looking for family for MY William Thomas Parker, but he's not yours. So, in the course of my travels thru Family Trees I did come across this family. You see, your ancester Pharaoh (everyone back then mispelled his name) has a famous brother, Elijah Parker. So remember that when looking. I looked up what you want from public member trees on Ancestry.com. There's a very good one from a person who's last name is Parker too. Joseph's parents; Jonathon Parker B 1757 (no death date) - Anna Radcliff (no Vitals. Jonathon's Parents; John Parker 1729-1775 Middlesex Massachusets - Lydia Moore 1730-1778. John's Parents; Josiah Parker 1694-1756 middlesex mass, and Anna Stone 1694 1760. his parents were; John Parker 1664-1741 Middlesex mass and Deliverance Dodge 1661-1718.........You get the picture. His parker tree carry's the family all the way back 3 or 4 generations to england. with this last ancester Thomas Parker
Birth 1471 in North Molton, Devon, , England Death Dec 1545.

I am from this line also and also have hit a dead end. Most of the the Ancestry member trees are wrong. Sure it would be neat to be related to John Parker but we aren't. There is no proof for the rest of the line that I have seen. Many of them say Peter Parker and Elcy Brawley and there is a will with a son Joseph but I also hit a dead end on Peter. As far as Elijah(which is where I am linked) I see nothing about him being famous. Good luck cousin!
