Help me find my Parker ancestors.

My mother is Gwenan Faye Parker.

My grandfather was Lawrence Parker, Sr. (9 July 1929 Arkansas/Missouri - 16 October 2004, Georgia). He was a twin. He married Mary McCasland.

My great grandfather was Emery James Parker (28 June 1895 Missouri/Arkansas - 22 June 1988, Lake City, Craighead, Arkansas).  He married Florence Bryant (22 August 1897, Alabama - 9 July 1926) on 1 August 1915, Poinsett, Arkansas.

This information was gathered from relatives and the few census records I could find online.  Any help on this line would be very much appreciated.

  • That is definitely my grandfather. My mom said he and Florence were raised by Ed but she didn't know anything about an adoption so they may have just been the twin's guardians. Can you confirm if this is your relative as well?
  • It would seem that would be my grandfather but I'm confused by the adopted son thing. I asked my mom about it and I'm waiting on her response.

  • I was a twin and so was my oldest. Both passed away before birth
  • I sent you an email
  • They were fraternal twins which I had heard ran in the family. His twin was female.
