  • I was told that she was Cherokee, or partially.

Did the DNA test show that as well?
  • Interesting, My aunt just did dna and it grouped her with settlers of east Tennessee and blue ridge mountains. Also settlers of Tennessee's upper Cumberland. But even more interesting is there are Cunninghams in my family to that supposedly are Cherokee. What I came to believe is that the Cunninghams adopted my great great grandma Sally ann Cunningham. I cannot find any history on her.
  • No. I nosed around some on Sunday. Marietta is another Etta possibility that I did not think of on Sunday. Keep searching using any possible variation plus search the male sibs too.
  • Hi Michael, any luck finding information on Etta Parker?
  • I found an Etta Parker in the 1900 census in Blount county Alabama, however, the brothers and sisters are not the correct names.

I was told that Etta had an older brother named Henry, another brother named jo and a sister named Emma.

I am also looking the marriage liscense of Etta Parker and Charles Johnson.
  • Have you looked at the 1900 census, if not, reply and I will look for her! I live in Fort Payne, AL. Mike, owner/moderator
