Aaron Parker born 1770 Ga. Died 1833 Ms.

This is the earliest Parker we have on my husband's maternal side. Any help going further wold be appreciated!

I have found him referenced as p261 Family group 5

Other names in the family bible with his are:

Cirneleous - died 6-20-1843

Elizabeth Graham - died 10-11-1853

Tabitha Raburn Parker ( this was Aaron Parker's wife) - died 3-7-1856

Cornelieous Graham - died 3-25-1856

Mary Leweler Graham - died 3-15-1856

(these last three appear to have died during an epidemic)

Federal census has Aaron Parker's family in Amite co Ms in 1816, in Covington Ms in 1820, and in Copiah Ms in 1830.

My husband's GGGF was Aaron Parker ll - born 1789 in NC. By 1830, he was living in Covington Ms.

Does anyone recognize this family?

Thank you!

Laurel

  • Thankyou, Kelly. I'll look into it.
  • I know this family well. I never could prove 100% that Aaron Parker II was the son of Aaron Parker and Tabitha Raborn. Unless you have a source that I never seen I think you should do Y-DNA to make sure that you are family 5%, Family #28 and #7 have always lived near Aaron Parker since 1790's.
  • Yes, I found Kelly Park's post yesterday. She has the same thing I have. Thanks, though!
  • Yes, Laurel, FG#5 is familiar to us all. Suggest you look into the interest grouosl (see the Group button on Your Page masthead and find Kelly Parks' group.) Aaron is one of her ancestors and a fellow she researchers.
