  • Michael,

I haven't been on this site for a few years. There are several ways for people to communicate now I see, which is the best? I just posted on the Blog, but now it longer appears.

  • Thanks, Michael,

Now I see how photos works.

  • Photos 2.0 on the menu. Excuse me I did use pictures.. plus sign is in upper right corner of page.

  • I don't see a "Pictures" tab. When I go to "Phots" on "My Page", I don't see a plus sign.

  • I just went to Pictures tab, pressed the plus sign, selected a photo of my wife and scrolled down and added it. It appears at the top of the photograph section instantly. May need to use a smaller dpi.Mike

  • Hi Michael,

I have several photos of my father and his father that I'd like to post. I tried going "Photos" on my page, then dragging a photo in. Another page pops up with the photo, but it doesn't show up on the "Photos" page. And I don't see where the photos have gone. Suggestions? What's the suggested dpi for photos? Mine were 300 dpi, perhaps that's too large.

  • I got a message you cannot post a photo on Parker Heritage, how can I help? I notice you have a profile photo so is a different photo there or otherwise.

  • ...and we connected 4 of 5 Kentucky born lines from James m.AnnaDoty! It was surreal to see the cemetery full of Parkers that until recently, had never met or known anything about each other. Having a "HOMECOMING" every year on the 3rd weekend in August may get even bigger when we finally get the line straight. Watch for DavidPaul's yDNA results. I believe we may find connecting mutations that could identify our branch. I'm planning a Mt.Sterling,Illinois trip just to find out how many are still there. Hope to find relatives of John P./Rick Parker of this site.

  • The Parker Reunion at the Parker Cemetery in Coles County this weekend was a wonderful event. My husband and I came from Ann Arbor, MI, and met Parkers from Missouri and around Illinois. James David Parker and David Paul Parker have resurrected the small cemetery on the edge of a wooded plot looking out at the "Parker Prairie". The only access is down a mown path through the corn and soybean fields, and what Parker would have it any different? Thanks to all who came to help keep the #5 Illinois Parkers alive.

  • I just came back after several months and am discovering the new website, hoping I can make all the connections and discoveries that I'd found on the earlier site.

I'll be coming to the Parker reunion on the 3rd weekend in August and wonder what the procedure is.
