I am a decedent of Edward Parker, born 1754 in Pitt County North Carolina. His family bible is the last information on our line. It lists no parents, just place of birth. The Pitt County NC court house burned in 1854 and lost most of the records, so we have no recorded information.

I believe you are right about two James Monroe Parker's. Our JMP is well documented. He was born on 30 April 1874 in St Francis county Arkansas and died on 7 January 1958 in New Boston, Texas. My problem is in locating the parents of his father Peter Parker. Have you done a DNA test on your family? If you are interested you can contact Dennis West at dwest3@utk.edu for details.
